21st Century Learning

When someone says 21st-century learning, what do you imagine? From my standpoint, it is not something like listening to every single word that comes out from a teacher. This sounds old-fashioned. Where is the flavor? The flavor is of course the technology which is an inseparable part of our daily lives. 

         By integrating the newest technologies into education such as laptops, tablets, smartphones, and smartboards, accessing information is getting easier. We saw the perfect example during the covid19 lockdown. Even though we didn’t go out for almost a year we could catch up thanks to online education. 

We learn not only from educational places but also from social media. When used correctly especially for a new language learner Netflix, Instagram and even TikTok can be great platforms to learn. Believe me, you would go insane if you knew how much I learned from TikTok. Also, these platforms are perfect for making foreign friends who speak your target language. In this way, you can practice talking and texting easily.

    In short, all the information we want to learn is within our arm’s reach. Learning has never been this effortless. I’m so glad I was born in this century. ^-^
