A New Way For Learning

  

   Hi everybody !!! How was your week? My midterms are coming so I’m a little bit stressed :’). But don’t worry I’ve endured worse. Anyways, today I’m going to share with you something special that I made. It’s a podcast! This was my first time podcasting so it is a little bit unprofessional. I’ve tried my best.

    Well then, what is the aim of this podcast? It’s for finding out what are the Marmara University ELT students thinking about the benefits of using technology in education. My classmate Irem Aytac and I both conducted this project. With this podcast, we explored the different points of view about this topic. The podcast is in the link down below.

    Besides talking about the podcast I made, I also want to share my general opinion about the podcast. First of all, I don’t know why but I wasn’t thinking of podcasts as educational material. Then after researching what podcasts really are I realized there is a great amount of field we could use them. Especially in teaching/learning a foreign language. Students could use the podcasts for increasing their listening and pronunciation skills. And teachers could use them for evaluation purposes. The best part is you can find a podcast for every level. Even for the very young learners.

    So in a nutshell, getting knowledge about different sides of technology used in education is very exciting. I’m glad to learn them and also to share them with you. Gradually I can imagine myself as a teacher that integrates technology in class actively and makes their students have more fun. ^ - ^
